Roleplay rules

1.    As this is a roleplay server, it is asked that all roleplay related interactions are kept in the appropriate spaces. Just to keep traffic down and the conversations vibing.

2.    Please try to keep the responses at a decent length, no less than 50 words, no more than 2000. We want the responses to keep flowing and grooving but we don’t expect every mind to be able to write sonnets for responses.

3.    Please specify who you are talking to if there are more than 2(you and someone else) members involved. It helps so that characters know what’s going on! I am sure we have all been in conversations where we are unsure who’s talking to who, and it can be frustrating!

4.    Details! We like them, we love them. They add spice and help with the world building. Some locations will have predetermined details to them, but of course with in reason you can add your own twist.

5.    No ‘god modding’! Your actions have to be within reason and you cannot control other people’s actions. Even if you are a Ghoul, Demon or a Papa, your actions still have limits. They aren’t superman!

6.    Powers make things more eventful, but even the supernatural have limits. For every power you add to your sheet there needs to be a nerf (weakness). 
a.    Ex. You have Telepathy but it is limited to things that you could move naturally by hand.
b.    Ex. You can manipulate water, but it is limited to the water in your surroundings and how hydrated you are.

7.    When roleplaying, stay in character! If your character doesn’t know someone’s name you don’t either until they have introduced themselves to you! Let’s avoid coincidences and claiming to know things unless we are told about them. Unless it is a common knowledge situation in the ministry or from an established tidbit of lore, you have to learn it!

8.    If you have multiple characters, you cannot run more than 3 at a time in a thread. We don’t want anyone getting overwhelmed or confused in a scene!

9.  In the interest of promoting consent and safety in the group. Do not under *any* circumstance force a character to do something. Unless everyone involved agrees to the activities at hand and are outlined before hand, do not do it. Even as a joke.

10. If you are in combat roll a d20 to hit, you must if your attack is arcana you must beat their constitution and arcana. If it is a physical attack you must beat their dexterity. After you initially roll to hit you may roll a second time for damage. Anything below a 5 is minimal damager 5-10 is average damage (a bruise or a scratch) 11-15 significant damage (gashes, deeper bruising, dislocation) 16-19 is major damage (fractured bones etc.) a nat 20 is critical damage, take that as you will but run it by your role play partner to ensure that it isn't over done for your plot.

11. For all interactions make sure you add the date as to when they are happening. Past lore may be back dated but do not go ahead of the present day.

12.  NSFW content IS allowed however you must follow these guidelines while doing so;

- Prior to any nsfw, you should discuss your boundaries and limits with your rp partner. If they are uncomfortable rp'ing within the forum, you are welcome to rp in dms, however any behavior that breaks the server rules _while you are engaging with a member of said server_ is still subject to punishment.

- ALL nsfw entires, regardless of actual content, must include proper content warnings at the top of the entry on the forum AND included in the message when you send the forum link.

- Remember that consent can be taken back. That includes both in story between characters and in text between people. If consent is revoked, respect your partner and do not push. 

Any behavior that violates the set rules of the server and the forum will be subject to due punishment by the mod team.
