Unwelcomed Visit
With the birth of the twins nearing, Dahlia had gone out of the room Copia and her shared. Getting around was far more of an ordeal than it usually was worth, and there had been far too many people who had told her to remain in her bed and or the room for her safety. Even Copia had been urging her to do so. That morning she woke up to her phone having nearly forty missed calls and even more texts, each one seeming increasingly angry. Rubbing her eyes awake she yawned, figuring someone in the group chat had done something she opened her phone. However, to her surprise, it was not the group chat, but she wished it had been them.
[Text] Rispondi al telefono, Dahlia.
[Text] Dannazione. Rispondi a quel fottuto telefono.
The texts got worse and worse as she continued to read them, he was angry, as usual. However, she did not think he would come all this way, again to try and convince her to leave. Right? Why waste time on her if she was a lost cause? A fallen woman beneath him. Blocking the number, like she had the twelve other times he had texted her. She sent a message to Copia letting him know that he had spammed her phone once again. Sighing, Dahlia took the time to shower and prepare herself for the day. Opening the windows and letting the air in, as she enjoyed her tea she heard the familiar clicking of heels and the spiteful tone she once hid from. Did they… No, she had to be imagining this, right?
~~~~~~~~ Outside ~~~~~~~~~
The two stepped outside the car once again, the look of annoyance and disgust having not left their face. Almost as if it was all they knew how to do. “"Non riesco ancora a capire perché Dahlia abbia lasciato Praiano per questo posto. Guarda, Lucia, è blasfemo! Prendono in giro il nostro signore in modi così disgustosi. Tua figlia è caduta, e quando la riporteremo a casa tornerà in quella fottuta abbazia e verrà incatenata lì, se necessario." Aurelio spat at the ground, a sign of disrespect to the ground he stood on. "Riesci a crederci? Dopo la vita che abbiamo dato a questa ragazza, e lei si trasforma in questo? Nient'altro che una prostituta da quattro soldi per la derisione di una chiesa? È stata tua madre a farle questo, Lucia. Se non ci fosse stata quella stronza, niente di tutto questo sarebbe successo." He waved his hand angryly as his wife paid the driver and turned to him, her face showed worry and that she lacked sleep. Lucia, was a push over and believed what her husband did was needed to follow the word of god. Even if she hated the way he spoke of her mother, a part of her believed he was right. "Conosco il mio amore. Lo so. Era ingenua e pensava che la magia e quelle favole fossero reali. E invece l'hanno condotta sulla strada del peccato..." The woman tried to calm her husband, thinking maybe if they were calm they could get Dahlia to see reason. "Forse se restiamo calmi, Dahlia ci ascolterà. Sì?"
Aurelio stopped nearly on a dime, flicking his cigarette away from himself, a puff of smoke exiting his nose. A near manifestation of his rage, "Calma? CALMA? Vuoi che rimanga calma mentre nostra figlia balla e scopa Satana? Brucerà all'inferno per questo! E vuoi che sia calma e mi comporti in modo gentile e affabile? Pensi che Satana sarebbe gentile e affabile? NO!" He hisses as his hand raises, and his wife flinches before nodding, regretting even suggesting it. Striding up to the door, he banged on it before he was let in by a ghoul, his jaw clenched as he stared at the abomination. Aurelio could not believe that this was the vermin that Dahlia befriended, it was disgusting. Once again, he pushed aside and began to scream for his daughter to present herself. He did not care if he disturbed those who were here, they did not matter to him whatsoever.
Lucia followed in behind, tough it was more like running to keep up with her husband. ““Dalia! Dove sei! È mamma, sono qui per salvarti e lo è anche tuo padre. Esci subito, basta con questi giochi. Ti pentirai e sarai salvato, so che ti sei perso, ma con il pentimento puoi essere salvato e vedere di nuovo la luce!” Her voice echoed, however Aurelio, he was tired of the niceties that his wife continued to show. Dahlia needed discipline and to have the fear of god put back in her, and since his wife could not do it. He would. “"Dahlia Marie Skyler, vieni fuori subito. Abbiamo giocato a questi stupidi giochi abbastanza a lungo. Sei una donna di Dio, non di Satana. E se non la smetti di fare questi giochi, ti ricorderò cos'è il timore di Dio. Con le mie stesse mani. Come ho fatto molte volte prima con te."
~~~~~~~~~ Copia and Dahlia’s room~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Even with the door shut and music playing, she could still hear her parents screaming, and the memories returned. She could feel her heart race once more, this time, however, she knew to call Copia and others. Quickly she dialed Copia and spoke, “My love, they are back. My parents are back and they are screaming through the ministry. I know you probably hear them, I.. Maybe I can go and talk to them, si? Try to calm them down and make it so they do not hurt others or make more of a scene than they already have.” Dahlia began to gather her things, Moros joining and landing on her shoulder, protectively. “Maybe I can stop them and send them away, right? You think they would listen to me if I told them?”
