That Time of the Month
Celeste and Klaus, with the black duffle bag over his shoulder, made their way down the hallway to rendezvous with their youngest daughter at her room. Celeste had wanted to take a peek at Mara's room set up for the next week plus she was excited to pick up the gift Mara had gotten her for mother's day. It was later in the day, the sun hadn't quite set yet but it was getting close. The sky was beautifully bright orange and the clouds were dark in shadows; Klaus' favorite type of sunset.
"I have her little purple friend ready to go afterwards. He's bring his pet too! Mara called her clingy and chonky." Celeste giggled.
"Sounds like somebody I know," Klaus myself in return, "are you sure you are ok with assisting both of us? I can step aside while you help Mara; this will not be my first time, after all."
"I am sure, loup pelucheux. I've had to take care of you and the twins by myself over and over again and not just with the whole wolf thing. Besides, Tab will be around to help too!"
"Oh good... You know I have found him sitting in the pitch black chapel? Just, eating a whole batch of cookies by himself? He scared me half to death with his eyes just peeping at me in the dark."
"Ooh I should spend more time with him! I love cookies."
"Oh lord he is going to be a horrible influence on you." Klaus said, amused.
The pair spoke casually through their walk until they got to Mara's room. Clearly both of them were not worried about the upcoming events. They had every eventuality thought of. Except dying anyway. But that was a very small chance, and Mara was not the most likely to die in this scenario anyway. Klaus knocked on the door with a firm force.
"Mara," he called, "are you ready?"

Another noticably light side hug before the ghoul got up from the mattress in search of the elusive hairbrush. A few gentle clinks and thunks could be heard from the bathroom as Tab fished out the brush,
"Phone? Uh yeah it's on the dresser, hold on." He called back. Tab didn't want her to strain herself over something he could easily do for her, no matter how small. He pattered on back to the room to hand her the phone and, once he did, he sat down behind her with one leg outstretched and the other folded beneath him, lightly touching her back.
"The only cycle I got is mating seasons, and those are trimonthly and for the full month straight," Tab rambled as he gently began to brush her hair from the bottom up, "doesn't really do much other than make everybody ravenously horny. Oh shit, you probably get to deal with that too. All the smells? That'll be Hell for ya."
